01. Admissions

http://www.indycc.edu/admissions/

V - 620.332.5471 | F - 620.331.0946

Complete the Application for Admission.

Request official Transcript from previous colleges attended and the high school in which you graduated to be sent to the Registrar's office. If an official transcript has not been issued, an unofficial transcript (sent directly from the college or university) will suffice in order to proceed with your file.

If your program of study requires special admissions criteria, please follow those guidelines.

International students must submit a non-refundable $50 application fee. International students are encouraged to live in housing. If living off-campus, an official address must be reported to the Admissions department. Failure to report current residence information is in direct violation of visa requirements could cause expulsion from school and deportation.

02. Financial Aid

http://www.indycc.edu/admissions/financialaid/

V - 620.332.5460 | F - 620.331.0946

Apply for existing institutional scholarships. Some scholarships have deadlines as early as March 1.

All students are encouraged to apply for federal aid using the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form, or online at www.fafsa.ed.gov as early as possible.

There are several forms that each Pell student must complete.  We are in the process of creating those for the Website. Until then, please contact Financial for more information.

03. Advising and Assessment

V - 620.332.5430 | F - 620.331.0946

ACT scores are used for placement purposes. Schedule an appointment with the Admissions Department to complete the Math and English placement exams (if you are a first-time college student and have not taken the ACT or if you have not completed a college-level math and/or English course). ICC uses COMPASS exams for placement. The first two exam attempts are free of charge. A $5.00 fee is assessed for each additional exam, and a picture ID is required. Click here for ICCs Placement cut-off scores and developmental course process.

Set an appointment to meet with an Academic Advisor. If you are enrolling in the summer, you may be advised by Admissions personnel. If you are a full-time student, you will be assigned an Academic Advisor. Academic Advisors are selected based on your major or arbitrarily through a distribution process if undeclared.

Schedule an appointment to attend an orientation session. If you wait until school starts to establish your computer account, Windows login username and password, e-mail, and Blackboard account, you will be behind before you start.

 Student Handbook

Students are advised read the Student Handbook as soon as they are admitted. The Student Handbook has vital information about the college, available campus services, academic policies and procedures, as well as disciplinary policies and procedures.

In the SIS, students can access all account information, set up an ICC email account, check grades, enroll, update contact information, and change PIN, passwords and addresses.
Distance learners are students who take night & online courses at ICC.

Resources for distance learners can be found at http://www.indycc.edu/distance/index.htm
