This year’s Lady Pirates will be lead by a cast
of four returning sophomores. Coach Taylor
is expecting a lot from All-Conference,
All-Region player, and All-American Shardae
Philogene. Shardae is an
tremendous outside hitter who is an
intimidating force on the court. She led
the country in kills per set last year and we
will look for her to pace our offense this year.
Eleanor Palaita, a freshman setter, will help
guide the offense. Local product Kelsie
Meier will help balance our attack.
Competition is a good thing and the libero spot
will see a lot of it as returnees Kaitlyn
Bennett and Andrea Reasoner along with freshman
Jaymie Zook challenge for the position.
Kami Tauer will look to spend more time on the
right side this fall. Ashley McClelland,
recruited as a basketball player, will add depth
in the in the middle for the pirates. Look
for her to give an added punch offensively.
Rachel Richmond is a utility player that will be
able to provide a boost on both sides of the
ball. |
