Independence Community College is seeking applications for the position of Part-Time Van Driver. Independence Community College, a small, rural, residential community college in southeast Kansas, serving the needs of full and part-time students, has initiated continuous quality improvement through the AQIP accreditation process. |

Position Summary |
||
|
The College is seeking a reliable, responsible adult driver for transportation of students. Responsibilities will include transporting students between college classes and their homes, transporting Pirate Cove Daycare students, scheduling the van route and transporting students to school and community events. Additional driving duties may be assigned. |

Qualifications |
||
|
Valid Kansas Driver’s License and good driving record is required. Must be at least 21 years of age. |

Part-time position is 20 hours per week. Salary is $10.00 per hour. |

Job Description Part-Time Van Driver The van driver is responsible for a variety of duties that support ICC students and the Pirate Cove Academy Day Care. The Van Driver reports to the international student coordinator, director of Pirate Cove Academy under the Dean of Student Services. Primary Responsibilities 1. Pick up students at designated locations and transport to and from classes at designated times. 2. Pick up students and transport for required internships at designated locations and times. 3. Assist with international student coordination and the Pirate Cove Academy Director in developing a transportation schedule. 4. Perform additional duties as may be assigned. General Responsibilities 1. Assure timeliness of reports and communications. 2. High degree of ethical standards, including adherence to general rules of safety, procedures and fair labor practices. 3. A commitment to high professional standards. 4. Serve as ambassador to ICC within the college and community. Qualifications 1. Valid Kansas driver’s license. 2. Excellent driving record. 3. Good communication skills. 4. Understanding of responsibilities and role in performing the duties for which contracted. 5. Ability to effectively manage time and resources. 6. Must be able to manage flexible schedule and assignments. 7. Ability to lift 30 lbs. to waist height. |
