Independence Community College Theatre invites community members to audition for its upcoming fall production of Little Women, adapted by Kate Hamill from the beloved novel by Louisa May Alcott.
Auditions will be held Monday, Aug. 17, at 4 p.m. in the Black Box Theatre, located in the Fine Arts Building on the ICC campus.
The production will be directed by ICC Theatre Director Cooper Sivara. Those interested in auditioning do not need to prepare a monologue in advance. Selected scenes from the play will be provided at auditions for participants to read.
Hamill's adaptation brings the March sisters and their story of family, ambition, independence and growing up to the stage while capturing the spirit of Alcott's classic novel.
Performances of Little Women are scheduled for Oct. 8–11, 2026, at the William Inge Theatre on the Independence Community College campus. Admission to the production will be free.
Community members interested in participating are encouraged to attend auditions. Questions regarding auditions or the production may be directed to Cooper Sivara at csivara@indycc.edu.
