The ICC men’s and women’s basketball teams will honor the legacy of longtime supporter Bill Juby during the Montgomery County Rivalry Game against the Coffeyville Red Ravens on January 24 at the ICC Fieldhouse, with the women’s game tipping off at 2:00 p.m. and the men’s game following at 4:00 p.m.

Players will wear commemorative patches on their jerseys in recognition of Juby’s lasting impact on Pirate Basketball and community college athletics throughout Montgomery County.

Juby was a passionate advocate for student-athletes and a familiar face at athletic events across the county. His dedication went beyond team loyalty. He believed deeply in the role community colleges play in providing opportunities for young people through athletics and education.

“Bill Juby represented everything that is good about community college athletics,” said Melissa Anderson, ICC Athletic Director. “He was a loyal supporter of Pirate Basketball, but more importantly, he cared about our student-athletes, our programs, and our community. This tribute is a small way to honor the big impact he made on Montgomery County athletics.”

The rivalry matchup against Coffeyville provides a meaningful stage to celebrate Juby’s legacy, bringing together athletes, fans, and community members who shared in his passion for the game.

Fans are encouraged to attend the January 24 game and join ICC in honoring a man who left a lasting mark on Pirate Athletics and the Montgomery County sports community.
